A sparkling bottle is wider across the body than a still bottle, taller at the neck, and considerably heavier because the glass is thicker and the punt is deeper to hold the pressure. A magnum is all three again, at a larger scale. A standard tote fails on every one of those counts, usually all at once.

The cells go wider and taller. The internal height is set against the actual bottle rather than a nominal capacity, so the sides clear the neck instead of stopping at the shoulder and letting the bottle lever out on the stairs. And the base board is rated for the heavier glass, because six sparkling bottles weigh appreciably more than six still ones.
